I took a free local tour with this student run group to learn more about the history of the city and the cultural heritage of Vietnamese people.
I spent around 7 hours with Chi who arrived early to pick me up from where I was staying. I immediately felt welcomed and enlivened by her high energy, enthusiasm, and openness. I was impressed by her knowledge of the prominent landmarks such as the Temple of Literature, Sword Lake, Hoa Lo Prison, and more. Thanks to her expertise, I was able to ask her questions to inform my decisions on the sites I wanted to visit for the tour. Her vocabulary in English is extensive so she was able to provide accurate descriptions of different historic or cultural aspects of each sit and answered complex questions.
The tour can be highly customized since the agenda is controlled by both you and the guide, and whoever else may be on the tour with you. I highly recommend this tour and would like to thank Chi very much for providing me such a wonderful experience in Hanoi.
